As you all probably know by now, I’m a big fan of self-help books! I find them so interesting and inspiring. This month I read The Gift of Self-Love by Mary Jelkovsky, and spoiler alert: I really liked reading it. Read further if you want to know my full thoughts on this workbook!

What did I think of The Gift of Self-Love?
The Gift of Self-Love is a self-help book, unlike any other self-help book I have read. Throughout the book, you can really see Jelkovzky’s experience with an eating disorder and her road to self-love, which really add to the book.
It brings a lot of useful tips. I love that Jelkovsky doesn’t impose anything on the reader, she only gives tips. She is not just someone who gives tips thinking they will fix everything in your life. You will have to work for your self-love and she clearly states that. She does provide good starting points for applying the tips she gives in daily life, through providing journal spreads with questions to fill in, and so on.
I think this is a great workbook that can be very useful in your road to self-love and self-appreciation.
