Omg! That song/book tag

I recently came across this tag on Wanders Between Pages‘ blog. I loved the idea of it, so I decided to do this tag myself!

MY JAM: A song you have to listen to no matter how many times you’ve heard it before and A book you’ll never get sick of

Someone to You – BANNERS

This song always (ALWAYS) manages to make me happy and smiling. Everytime this song comes on the radio or on my Spotify shuffle I just have to dance!

The Midnight Library – Matt Haig

If you’ve read any of my previous blog posts, I guess that this choice was no surprise at all! The Midnight Library is a book I’ll probably reread frequently and I will also always recommend it to everyone!

THROWBACK: A song that reminds you of the cringiest time in your life and A book you read that you wouldn’t like if you were to read it now

Superbass – Nicki Minaj

As a 12-13 year old, I loved rapping along to this song and it always made me laugh so hard! I do have some good memories from this song, but it can also make me cringe thinking back on it.

Everything Everything – Nicola Yoon

I loved this book when I first read it back in 2016. I flew through it and read it in one sitting but I’m just not really sure if I would still like it if I were to reread it in 2021. I might reread it this year to see what I think about it now.

REPLAY: A recent song that you have on repeat and A recent favorite book

drivers license – Olivia Rodrigo

I must admit that I am OBSESSED with drivers license by Olivia Rodrigo. Yes, I dramatically scream along with the lyrics even though it has nothing to do with my current life situation, yes.

The Alice Equation – Davina Stone

Recently, I’ve really loved The Alice Equation by Davina Stone. I came across this book by accident, but I’m glad I did as I just really loved this one. I binge read it in 24 hours, which shows that it was a really good one.

GETS ME: A song that is literally me and A book that is me in book form

Mess is Mine – Vance Joy

Vance Joy’s music never fails to make me feel loved and understood. In Mess is Mine I particularly love the quote

there’s an ocean inside my head

waves that don’t ever rest

Book Love – Debbie Tung

I had to think about this one for a long time, but I loved how relatable this book was for me. So I guess I could say that this book is me in book form!

WUT: A weird song that you liked anyways and A unique book that stuck out to you for some reason

Paint the Town Green – The Script

I wouldn’t exactly say that this is a weird song, but nevertheless it has a special vibe to it which I really love to dance to!

Strange Planet – Nathan W. Pyle

I think the concept of this book is quite unique. It is relatable but fun in its own way and it really stuck out to me.

LET’S GO: Pick your best pump up song and A book that inspires you

Someone To You – BANNERS

Whelp, I had to go for Someone To You by BANNERS again. I absolutely LOVE this song and it gives me so much energy!!

Harness the Power of the Invincible Mind – Alex Neumann

This power sparked a lot of information in me. It contains some really great tips & tricks to get over obstacles in life. This book really inspired me.

CHILL: Your best relaxing song and A book you’d curl up with on a rainy day

Emmylou – Vance Joy

This song will NEVER EVER fail to make me relax. The instrumentals are so soothing and the lyrics is even more soothing.

Confess – Colleen Hoover

Any of Colleen Hoover’s books make me want to curl up in bed on a rainy day. Although most of her books aren’t happy books, I managed to binge read both of the books I read of her.

ADDICTING: A guilty pleasure song and A light, trashy read you can’t help but love

Make You Mine – PUBLIC

As I am on Tik Tok too much of the time, I heard this song a lot. Now that I’ve found it on Spotify, I keep on listening to it.

P.S. I Like You – Kasie West

I don’t really think that this is really a trashy read, but it is a light one and I absolutely loved reading it. It was a book with which I didn’t really have to think things through.

NOSTALGIA: A throwback song you look back on fondly and A book you read and loved when you were young

I Lived – OneRepublic

I used to listen to this song non stop and it can absolutely lift my spirits nearly all the time! It has such a good vibe to it and a good meaning behind it.

The Fault In Our Stars – John Green

I guess this was one of the first books I read when I got into reading again a few years ago (2014) and it made me so emotional. I really loved it.

I absolutely loved doing this tag! Consider yourself tagged if you see this book tag.
