As the self help obsessed person I am, I knew I wanted to read this cute little book about self help. I think it’s an amazing book for people who don’t know where to start with self care!

What is Me Time about?

Self care is so much more than bubble baths and face masks. Me Time reframes self care, from acts of indulgence to a holistic practice of self love that nurtures both mind and body. Filled with timed self care ideas that range from one minute activities to day long adventures, this book shows you how to make time for self care. Remind yourself that you are worthy of your own care with Me Time.
What did I think of Me Time?
Although I did know most things stated in this book already, I still found it to be a useful guide in my quest to investing more in self care. It mentions a lot of ways to practice self care, from 1 minute self care activities to a half day of self care activities.
Some examples of these self care activities are:
- Meditate (1 minute)
- Cuddle a pet (5 minutes)
- Take a power nap (10 minutes)
- Eat a big-ass bowl of pasta (30 minutes)
- Read a book (1 hour)
- Take a break from technology (2 hours)
- Design your own ‘you day’ (half day)
I thought this was a very nicely illustrated book and it is surely a great start if you want to start investing in self care! It counts 128 pages, so it’s not that big of a book. It’s a quick and easy read and can get you perfectly started on your journey to self care!
Thank you to NetGalley and Quarto Publishing Group for providing me an advanced reader copy in exchange for an honest review. This did in no way affect my opinion.
