Looking back on my February 2020 book haul

From February until May 2020 I tracked my book hauls on my blog (after that it became too awkward to mention me buying 3583993 books each month). From February until May 2021 I will look back on my book hauls from last year and reflect on whether I read the books I bought or not. I saw this idea on The Book Dutchesses blog and loved it, so here I am with my throwbacks!

40-45: het verhaal van de spektakel-musical – Ria Maes

40-45 was a Belgian musical about World War II. I absolutely loved the musical and found it to be so beautiful, so I also really enjoyed the book!

Rating: 4.5 out of 5.

ON just my own LINE – Yentl Keuppens

Yentl Keuppens is a Belgian influencer and wrote a book about how she manages her Instagram account, how she takes her picture,… I found it to be an interesting book.

Rating: 3 out of 5.

De buitenjongen – Paolo Cognetti (~ The Wild Boy)

The writing style of Paolo Cognetti’s books is so so good, but at times a little too detailed. It was a lovely experience to read one of his books, but I didn’t feel the need to read more of his books.

Rating: 3 out of 5.

Soul Tourists – Bernardine Evaristo

I ended up not reading this book and unhauled it.

RENS – my lifestyle guide – Rens Kroes

This book contained a lot of recipes and work out tips and tricks,… It was really interesting to read.

Rating: 4 out of 5.

Hoe je stopt met plastic – Will McCallum (~ How to give up plastic)

This was a really interesting and insightful book to read. It made me reflect upon my own ecological footprint.

Rating: 3.5 out of 5.

Wat zou Martin doen? – Nic Stone (~ Dear Martin)

This was such a good book! I understand the hype there was around it! However, I had problems with the Dutch translation so that made the experience less nice for me.

Rating: 3 out of 5.

I see London, I see France – Sarah Mlynowski

I also ended up not reading this book and unhauled it. I’m sure it’s now on a better place and that it will really be read!

I read 75% of the books I bought in February 2020, which seems a very good job to me!

Would you like me to start mentioning my monthly book hauls again on my blog?

  1. Woah all of the books you’ve read were so, international?? European? I have no idea, but they’re all like France or Germany and it’s so interesting, they’re historical too (WW2). I don’t think I could ever read that many of these books, but it’s really cool to see someone else being able to do it. :))
