At the beginning of november I got approached by Neumann with the question if I would like to review his new book. As a big fan of self help and self improvement books, I was very excited to dive into this book!
What is the book about?
Alex Neumann makes wonderful guiding principles for anyone attempting to create a productive and satisfying life. He reveals the source of self-limiting beliefs that rob us of happiness and create needless suffering.
These incredibly profound, yet simple and practical teachings will inspire you to a grand new level of life clarity, confidence, purpose, and passion. An inspiring and practical roadmap with many great lessons to self-upliftment and to fulfill your dreams.
What did I think of it?
What an incredibly inspiring book this is! The amount of tabs I put into this book and the amount of paragraphs I highlighted is spectacular. The points Neumann touches in this book are very insightful and make you reflect upon your own life.
Some of the lessons that I learned from this book are:
- Never give up!
- Don’t let adversity take you down.
- Mindset is the key to your life! Everything that you ever do depends on your mindset.
- Every obstacle is a hidden bundle of opportunities. Every adversity is a hidden bundle of blessings.
- Happiness comes when you LET IT BE!
And of course, there are so much more lessons in it!
The anecdotes and examples Neumann uses to demonstrate his advice really add to the book, because you don’t only see ‘the theoretic part’ of the advice, but also how that advice has been executed in the past. Some examples that are mentioned are the story of Helen Keller, Jeff Bezos, Steve Jobs, Emily Dickinson, and so on.
I flew through the first 60% of the book, and then I got slowed down a bit. This has nothing to do with the advice being less good or anything like that, but I think it’s normal with a book like this that you don’t necessarily connect with every part of it.
If you are in need of some encouragement in life, I would recommend this book. It contains a lot of helpful advice within its approximately 200 pages, and it’s easy to digest all the advice. It’s explained very easily.
This book is different from your normal self help book. AND! For everytime this book is sold, 1% of the profit will be donated to Cancer and Heart Associations. So, you buy a very inspirational book AND you donate money to a good cause. Win-win!
Thank you to Alex Neumann for sending me a physical copy of his book in exchange for an honest review. This did in no way affect my review.
